Head Instructor - Steve Nimigon

Steve Nimigon has over 25 years hockey experience as both a player and as a teacher. The former NHL draft pick has worked with all ages and levels of hockey players, instructing in Canada, the United States and Europe. He is known for his high tempo instructional classes that concentrate on hockey fundamentals. Although Steve no longer competes at the professional level, he still enjoys playing and has participated in several adult leagues. It was from playing in those leagues that Adult Skills Academy Hockey was born. His teammates and competitors were always looking to improve and be the best players possible. Steve saw that with the right direction players could improve their individual skills and help fuel their passion for the game. Steve continues to be involved with hockey off the ice as well. He is a regular guest speaker for the Ontario Hockey League at their annual prospect information seminars and maintains a working relationship with his former OHL club. In May of this year he participated in the Ontario Hockey Federation's Program of Excellence as a member of an educational seminar panel. Steve was recently honoured as the OHLBusiness Professional Alumni of the Month for November 2007.
